Maple sugar and the longing for green

This past weekend we had visitors from Canada. It’s always so nice to connect with family and spend some real time together. We spent Saturday afternoon at Millbrook Village (a historic village) where they were making maple syrup the old fashioned way. On the way back we stopped along the Delaware river and discovered a waterfall. The weather was beautiful; in the 50’s and sunny. We definitely got a taste of spring, and when we saw the beautiful cascading waterfall, with the bright green moss on the banks and green rhododendrons round about, you could almost imagine it was spring!

First some maple sugaring:

Then we did some Dutch tailgating ;), with our baked goods, and Starbucks coffee drinks.

And then off to see some water:

Doesn’t this green look so refreshing this time of year? :

Who isn’t itching for spring to come?
