Spring Training

Spring is in the air! Well not really in the air, but definitely in the psyche of my kids. The oldest two have taken to practicing their baseball skills. And the barren woods have been revisited by my clan and the neighborhood kids, as they rebuild Roxaboxin. (see previous posts on that subject)
Even two year old Annika has learned a new skill to prepare her for the warm weather which should eventually come. Since our basement is still very much unfinished, and fairly empty, I brought in a tricycle, just her size. In a couple hours she’s managed to learn how pedal and steer.  Now she hollers to me to come down and scooter with her while she bikes.  I can’t say that I have resisted, although I feel kind of dizzy going around and around the stairs.  She’s so determined to launch her new skills, I discovered that she got the locked sliding door opened, hauled the bike onto the patio, down a few stairs and onto the grass where she biked down the hill.  This little girl of ours is going places!
