Guess what….

Yes, after years of pressure…. I caved.  Isn’t he adorable?  Katrina is in her glory.  I resisted all those years because I knew I was a softy, and once a pet had insinuated itself into our lives there would be no going back.  But he is a cutey isn’t he?  And Annika delights in following him around everywhere.  He was supposed to be an outside/basement/garage cat.  Ha ha…..  We’ll see where this goes.  But no cats in bed!!!!!!!!!!!! or on the couch!!!!!!!!

Umm… it looks to me like he’s on Katrina’s bed!! 😛

Very cute! We’d love to get an animal, but David’s a little too small. Our rabbit got killed in a rather nasty way, and David was comfortless for months. But if we were to get a new rabbit he’d mutilate it – the older, wiser rabbit knew how to handle it. But about a cat – don’t they get hair all over the place? I’ve seen some pretty adorable cats and I could easily cave in and get one. We’ll have to see…

So far no hair… And I held him wearing black shorts. He does have pretty short hair. He’s also litter trained. But if you have a rambunctious little boy who might love (torture) the cat too much I would probably wait. Annika is pretty careful with kitty.

You got the torture part right… We’ll definitely be waiting awhile, give it a year or two and we’ll have some sort of pet.

Good for you! Pets are an awesome – dare I say, essential?? – addition to any family. (I may be biased, seeing as we have more pets than kids!)

  4. Haha, Lora! Once the cat’s in the house….that’s it. There’s no going back outside. He’s adorable, though. I would say that kittens don’t shed much hair. Once they get older, a cat will shed a ton of hair in the spring, but not as much during the other seasons. Perhaps it’s different with an indoor cat, however, since they don’t build up such a thick coat during the winter. Well, all the best with him. At least cats are quite easy pets! Do you have cat allergies?
